„Life Changing Challenges“
In June 2015, Platform AGORA and the Bulgarian School of Politics "Dimitry Panitza" started the implementation of a partnership project „Life Changing Challenges". The project is in a thematic area "Democracy, Human Rights and Good Governance", thematic priority "Active Citizenship" and is financed by the NGO Programme under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (2009 - 2014).
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The goal of the project is to improve the knowledge and skills of local leaders for developing public policies at local level, to help them create a mechanism for solving local problems and through this, to increase civic participation in decision making processes.
TARGET GROUPS
The local communities in 12 settlements, non-formal civic groupsand youth.
During the project implementation period 12 communities and non-formal civic groups became active on local level in the following residential complexes, villages and cities: Antonovo, Targovishte Municipality, Vidin, Garvan village, Gabrovo Municipality, Krushare village, Sliven Municipality, Kula, Kula Municipality, residential complex Malashevci, Sofia Municipality, Malko Tarnovo, Oreshak, Troyan Municipality, Pojarevo village, Bozhurishte Municipality, Provadia, Radilovo village, Peshtera Municipality and Chirpan.
FUNDING
The project budget is 50 550 EURO, implemented in a thematic area "Democracy, Human Rights and Good Governance", thematic priority "Active Citizenship" and is financed by the NGO Programme under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (2009 - 2014).
