The Finalists of Contest AGORA 2013

The first stage of Contest AGORA 2013 selection for Chitalishtes most successful initiatives for community development is over.
51 initiatives were submitted for this year's edition of the Contest and were evaluated by the ten members of the Contest jury. All entries demonstrated unique and efficient approaches for working with their local communities as well as their valuable experience in support of the idea of a modern Chitalishte as a community development centre.
The Contest jury selected the five finalists who will present their initiatives in the five categories of Contest AGORA 2013. The finalists will compete to win the Contest award for best Chitalishte initiative during the official ceremony that will be held on March 14th, 2014 in Sofia. Here are the finalists:
In the field "Community in Development", Chitalishte "Ivan Vazov 1904", Hisarya for their initiative "Mercy for the Oldies - preservation of old trees in the parks of Hisarya."
In the field "Solidarity and Humanity", Chitalishte "Prosveta 1870", Svilengrad with their initiative "For One More Child - Mission Possible!"
In the field "Art and Culture for Development", Chitalishte "Zarya 1902", Vakarel village for their initiative "Creating a digital library "Vakarel - Past, Songs and Hope."
In the field "Perspectives for Growth", Chitalishte "Razvitie 1898", Oreshak village with the Club "Colorful" - The Young People Together.
In the field "Most Productive Partnership", Chitalishte "Savremennik - 1986", Plovdiv with the project "Creativity Zone."
The name of the Chitalishte that will be awarded the special certificate "Contribution to the Development of Chitalishtes" by the Ministry of Culture is already known. It will be announced during the official ceremony that will be held on March 14th, 2014 at Hotel "Ramada Sofia", "Diamond" Hall starting at 5 pm. The address of the hotel is 131, Maria Luisa Blvd., Sofia.

The fifth edition of the Contest is organized by Platform AGORA, financially supported by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and in partnership with PRoWay Communication Agency, the University Press "St. Kliment Ohridski", Hotel "Ramada Sofia" and with the media support of the Bulgarian National Radio, dir.bg and ngobg.info.
